Just like any other human being (specifically those in their 20s), I struggled with not knowing who I truly am, where to go, and what I want to pursue. I think the 20s is a journey of finding yourself — again and again.

Sometimes, I get stuck trying to figure everything out before taking my first step. I want everything to be perfectly mapped out to guarantee my step not going to waste. How wrong was I.

Now I realize that life is a constant journey of figuring out. Every single day you learn something about the world and yourself. It’s thrilling in the sense that it’s not monotonous, yet it’s excruciatingly uncertain.

Living in your 20s gives you a ticket to the wilderness. But there is a compass to guide you. Wherever you may be in life right now, I hope you have your compass and if not, let these questions serve as your compass.

  1. Who are you?
  2. What makes you happy?
  3. What are the things that make you passionate?
  4. What makes you grow?
  5. Who do you surround yourself with?
  6. What are the things that matter most to you?
  7. What are the things you feel like you have to get rid of?
  8. Are you content?

Let these prompts arouse your inner self — to find joy, meaning, and on top of it all, life.
