The “Interlude” Phase

contemplation after contemplation,
has led me to a realization.
that ‘waiting’ is not a moment of ‘between-phase’,
but ‘waiting’ is a phase on its own.
waiting, yes waiting, is a bliss.

I was waiting for an empty bus that night,
in case you don’t know, I dislike crowds,
touching elbows, and the constant fight for oxygen.
I’m annoyed at the fact that my time is wasted waiting.
the time I can use for something ‘productive’.

I blend well with the crowd.
just like everyone else,
I would be seen with eyes glued to my phone screen.
but, suddenly ideas would pop up in my mind.
the ideas reserved only when I’m in the mode of boredom.

waiting means you are staying right where you are,
delaying something, or delayed by something.
but do you know that waiting also means,
to remain in readiness for some purpose.
purpose.

that moment of interlude.
yes, that moment of in-between.
you might be currently living in the “interlude” phase.
it isn’t seen as the main attraction, nor the main purpose.
it is a beautiful part, nevertheless.

there is a purpose in waiting.
there is a purpose in every phase life has put you into.
embrace that phase, make the best out of it.
my, oh my, celebrate your failure.
celebrate it. for you’re better than those doing nothing.
