In Love: Falling and Staying
Falling in love is easy, staying in love is not.
The world revolves around the topic of falling in love. No one has ever told me about how to stay in love. Everyone can fall in love, but not just anyone can stay in love.
Falling in love is blissful and beautiful. Tough days aren’t that hard to face anymore. Working doesn’t feel like a daily chore. Waking up feels so much like a blessing. You can literally feel each tiny particles of air going into your lungs, giving a feeling of freshness inside. Oh, I guess that’s why they call it fresh air!
Staying in love is blissful and beautiful. But, it is more than just feelings, emotions, and everything nice. Staying in love is about knowing the worst about someone, yet still loving that every bit of weakness. It is about knowing how fragile and empty humans are, yet still risking yourself to give towards and take from. It is about giving even when you’re empty, not knowing it’s actually filling you up.
Staying in love needs commitment. Just like the more a tree grows, the more it needs to be rooted. That’s the only way the tree is able to grow and flourish. Rooted is foundation, foundation is commitment. Relationship needs commitment for it to grow and flourish.
Falling and staying in love is just as enchanting, but just not as effortless.
